Dr. vonLehe returns from 3-month's service in Iraq
March, 2005

Charleston, SC --- Dr. John vonLehe is enthusiastically welcomed back home after serving with the Army National Guard Reserve Medical Corps in Iraq. Dr. vonLehe returns to his family medicine practice in Park West after his 3-month assignment. Dr. vonLehe's patients and his family have counted the days to have him return home. "My family and my patients have been very supportive in my absence." Dr. vonLehe adds, "the silver lining on this assignment has been that I was there during the national elections. How moving it was to be there during this historic event. Women were weeping with joy, and entire families came to participate in this election".

"There are some holidays and special family events I look forward to catching up on. Being gone during Christmas and missing my family and my patient families has been difficult. This assignment instills the feeling of never taking a day for granted."

Dr. vonLehe practices family medicine in Mt. Pleasant at Park West. "Lowcountry Medical Associates is proud of his service. Dr. F. Strait Fairey, President of Lowcountry Medical Associates remarks. "We admire Dr. vonLehe for his diligence and dedication to his country. He is truly a servant. A servant and provider to his country, his family, and his patients. We are happy to have him home."
