LMA Central Lab Under Construction

Construction began in February for LMA's expanded laboratory. The central lab site is on Leeds Avenue located centrally to LMA practices and convenient to referring practices.

The new site provides full laboratory services to include chemistry, special chemistry, allergy panels, coagulation, hematology, hepatitis, urinalysis, and microbiology. A central draw station provides phlebotomy services with no appointment from 7am-5pm.

"I'm excited about our expanded Laboratory," says Dr. Levern Livingston, Medical Director of the Lab. "The additional space will provide our laboratory with efficiencies that we are really looking forward to. We process approximately 1100 tests and panels a day, and this space and location will be beneficial to the volume of tests we perform each day."

Jami Page, Laboratory Director, has participated in the planning and design process along with consulting expertise from Dr. Bill Crymes, Pathologist and a committee of LMA physicians. "Our laboratory has achieved the Laboratory Excellence award for two consecutive Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation inspections. We look forward to continuing these standards at our new facility," concludes Ms. Page.
