Drs. Stelter and Busby join Lowcountry Medical Associates

Lowcountry Medical Associates announces two physicians - Dr. Taryn Stelter joining Plantation Pediatrics and Dr. Stephen Busby opening Johns Island Family Practice on Maybank Highway.
Dr. Stelter comes to Charleston after completing her Residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Prior to her medical training, Dr. Stelter taught High School Chemistry in Rome, Georgia. Dr. Stelter joins Drs. Vasko, McGaha, Traynham, Good, and Stadalsky at their West Ashley practice. "I met the physicians at Plantation Pediatrics long before I completed my training", remarks Dr. Stelter. "We have served on numerous medical mission trips together". "I am very happy to join a practice of dedicated pediatricians sharing our common bond." Dr. Stelter's clinical interests include newborn care, child development, and adolescent medicine. She plans to continue her work in medical missions and community service. Dr. Stelter has hospital privileges at Roper and Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital.
Dr. Stephen Busby finished his undergraduate, magna cum laude at Clemson University and completed his training in Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Busby opens a new practice on Johns Island to serve the growing needs in health care for Johns, Wadmalaw, Kiawah, Seabrook, and James Island. "I am excited to be a family physician for these growing barrier and coastal islands." "I enjoy providing preventive medicine, wellness, and sports medicine for adult, adolescent, and pediatric patients". Dr. Busby's work experience includes the Crisis Ministries Medical Clinic, and medical mission trips to Ecuador and Venezuela. Dr. Busby has hospital privileges at Roper Hospital.
