LMA Welcomes Three New Physicians

Lowcountry Medical Associates (LMA), a group practice of primary care physicians, welcomes three
new physicians to its existing group of 60 family practitioners, internists and pediatricians.
Christopher P. McLain, MD, joins Associates in Internal Medicine in Charleston; Tina Marie Botelho,
MD, joins East Cooper Internal Medicine in Mount Pleasant, and Amy Lucas, MD,
joins West Ashley Internal Medicine in Charleston.
Dr. McLain received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in
2002. He also completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of
South Carolina. Dr. McLain is board certified/board eligible in internal medicine.
Dr. Botelho received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina
in 2001 and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Greenville Hospital.
She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and
the South Carolina Medical Association. Dr. Botelho is board eligible in internal medicine.
Dr. Lucas received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of
Medicine in 2002 and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of
South Carolina. Dr. Lucas is board certified/board eligible in internal medicine.
Lowcountry Medical Associates consists of 22 physician practices conveniently
located throughout the Charleston-metro area. Its physicians specialize in family medicine,
pediatrics and internal medicine. LMA is dedicated to maintaining the physician-patient
