LMA announces new employees

Charleston, SC --- Lowcountry Medial Associates (LMA), one of South Carolina's largest primary care group practices, is pleased to announce the addition of three new employees - Mollie Alexander, Carolyn Milburn, and Greg Bellamy - to its team of talented professionals.
Mollie Alexander joins LMA as the chief financial officer and will oversee all financial responsibilities, including forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, internal controls, payroll and accounting for 60 physicians and the corporate office. She brings more than 18 years of experience to the group. With an extensive background in healthcare, Alexander most recently worked as controller for Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Charleston, SC and prior to her employment with Healthsouth, she worked for HCA Healthcare in a variety of financial management positions throughout the Southeast. She began her career in healthcare as an accounting clerk with Fenwick Hall Hospital in Charleston and graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Carolyn Milburn has joined LMA as a practice administrator. Milburn will oversee all administrative functions for East Cooper Internal Medicine located in Mount Pleasant. Milburn brings more than 18 years of experience to this position, most recently working as the billing manager for CareAlliance Worksite Partners and office manager for Mount Pleasant Pediatrics. Additionally, she has experience as a billing and collection manager and a data entry supervisor. Milburn obtained an associates degree in liberal arts and several certificates in coding and Medicare regulations and advanced coding and reimbursement, presented by both the American Medical Association and Medicare Guidelines Certification.
Greg Bellamy joins LMA's East Cooper Family Practice as the practice administrator. Bellamy's responsibilities include overseeing the administrative duties for East Cooper Family Practice and its satellite office in the Park West subdivision in Mount Pleasant. Prior to joining LMA, he worked as a privacy officer and director of health information management at Georgetown Memorial and Waccamaw Community Hospitals in Georgetown, South Carolina. He has worked for the past 12 years in hospital management, including stints at East Cooper Regional Medical Center. Bellamy received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Citadel and a bachelor degree in health information administration from MUSC.
LMA consists of 60 primary care physicians in 22 practices conveniently located throughout the Lowcountry. LMA specializes in family medicine, pediatrics and internal medicine. Additionally, LMA has the following state-of-the-art ancillary services: centralized laboratory with eight convenient draw-sites, a physical medicine and pain management center, and a diagnostic imaging center.
