Lowcountry Medical Associates moves
corporate office to West Ashley

Charleston, SC --- Lowcountry Medical Associates, PC (LMA) announces the move of its corporate office to Fairfield Park in West Ashley. Effective March 7, 2005, the new address is 1064 Gardner Road, Suite 216, Charleston, SC 29407. The phone number, which remains the same, is (843) 937-8101.
According to Greg Robinson, CEO of LMA, the organization has outgrown its current space on the peninsula. "Our corporate office provides support services for 25 medical and ancillary service sites, 60 physicians and 400 employees," explains Robinson. "Although we've enjoyed our residence on East Bay Street for the past five years, we're now looking forward to having more space and added capabilities in order to serve our organization more efficiently."
With primary care practices in Charleston, Berkeley and Colleton Counties, Fairfield Park will be more centralized to LMA practice locations. Concurrent with the move, LMA is also transitioning to NextGen, a new practice management and electronic health record (EHR) software system. NextGen will benefit both patients and medical practices by streamlining processes and creating better health care information management.
Support services provided by LMA's corporate office include practice and ancillary service, financial reports, accounts payable, regulatory compliance, human resources and benefits administration, payroll, health information management, managed care contracting, physician recruiting, and more.
LMA, one of South Carolina's largest primary care group practices, specializes in internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics; and provides ancillary services to include a central lab and eight laboratory drawstations, diagnostic imaging center, and a physical medicine and pain management center.
