It's Official - LMA has a Huge Heart!

The American Heart Association announced the official total for the 2003 American Heart Walk that took place on September 27. The entire Lowcountry raised close to $250,000, coming in at $247,000. A very impressive and noteworthy contribution by everyone who participated.
Although LMA was not the largest organization to participate, we impressively came in second place overall with a total of $17,000 in donations. The top company for the entire event was East Cooper Internal Medicine with more than $10,000 in total donations.
Special recognition was given to East Cooper Internal Medicine and Linda Owen's leadership. J.B. Peebles, son of Cindy Peebles, an employee with ECIM was awarded a Little Heart award. J.B. is LMA's own little heart and he proudly accepted this award.
A special thanks to everyone that participated in this year's event. Let's keep raising the bar and making a difference to help reduce disability and death from America's No. 1 killer.
