Charleston, SC - A perfect April morning combined with smiles of
pride and accomplishment was the setting for the closing games of the season
for the Charleston Miracle League on April 28. The Charleston Miracle League
provides children and adults with special needs an opportunity to play baseball,
wear a uniform, score a run, and hear their names from the pressbox.
Lowcountry Medical Associates' physicians and staff volunteered for the season
wrap-up as base coaches, buddies, and cheering fans. "No one leaves without a
smile," remarks Dr. Carol Klauber, pediatrician for Lowcountry Medical
Associates. "I know several ball players at the Charleston Miracle League and
they look forward to each spring and fall. Being here is a joy, watching the
pride of the players as they bat and cross home plate."
LMA will return in the fall to support the Charleston Miracle League.
Volunteering at the Charleston Miracle League and watching the player's pride
and accomplishment, and helping with the program is a day of fun for all.
