Historically, summertime is when the community's blood supply is the lowest. LMA responded to
the critical need for blood in order for our area hospitals to have the necessary inventory to
serve the surgical, trauma, and transfusion needs of Lowcountry patients.
On June 20, LMA physicians and staff hosted a blood drive at The Tides Medical Arts Center in Mount Pleasant.
The bloodmobile was stationed in front of the Tides Medical Arts Center where several LMA practices and building tenants
participated in the drive that was held from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Thirty-six donors contributed to the drive of which were 11 first-time donors.
Thank you LMA for saving a life and making a difference.
