FAQs:
Can I just walk in for a procedure?
LMA accepts walk-ins for digital x-ray only. All other exams do require an appointment.

How long does it take to get my results?
LMA Diagnostic Imaging Center strives to meet a 24-hour turn-around time. Most final reports are in your physician office within this time. For emergent situations, your physician usually receives the report within a four hour time period. However, it may take more time for your physician to provide you an opinion because they need to review your medical history and current evaluation needs.

Who reads my test results?
LMA works with Roper Radiologists, a local group of radiologists, who interpret your test results. They receive the images from the Diagnostic Imaging Center through digital transmission. Upon receiving the images they interpret and provide a report directly to your physician.

Can the technologist read my tests?
No. By federal and state law a technologist is not able to read and/or interpret the results of your exam. They can however provide the radiologists the best images possible in order to interpret your diagnosis.

Can I get a copy of my films?
Yes. Every patient of the Diagnostic Imaging Center has privileges to their films. We request a 24-hour notice if you want to pick up a copy of your films. The first set of films per exam is provided to you FREE of charge. LMA also has the capability to create CDs that have your images included and software as part of the system.

How soon should I arrive before my appointment time?
You should arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment. This time allows our front office team to process your paperwork quickly and efficiently. We want to make sure you enjoy your services and make the most of your personal time.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?
Yes. It is always a good idea to have your identification card as well as your current insurance card(s). For most exams, the Diagnostic Imaging Center calls your insurance before you arrive, however, there are times when we need to see both your ID and insurance card(s).
