Lowcountry Medical Associates (LMA) is a group practice of primary care physicians dedicated
to maintaining the physician-patient relationship and committed to delivering continuous,
cost-effective, quality care with an emphasis on health maintenance and wellness.
LMA consists of 22 physician practices conveniently located throughout the Charleston-metro
area. Our physicians specialize in family medicine, pediatrics and internal medicine. In
addition to our physician practices we have eight central lab drawstations and a diagnostic imaging center.
LMA is committed to providing our patients with the highest quality medical care
possible in a caring and comfortable setting and at the lowest possible cost.
Because we focus on providing essential services to meet patient's medical needs,
LMA continues to offer new services to our patients. We currently have a our central laboratory which processes more than 16,000
specimens each month and has independent central draw stations that ensure ease of access for our patients. Additionally, LMA's laboratory services are
available to all physicians, including those outside of LMA.
LMA's Diagnostic Imaging Center offers services in MRIs, CT scan, nuclear medicine, echocardiography,
ultrasound and bone density. These diagnostic tests are processed digitally
allowing for fast tests and clear images, which enhance the diagnostic and management
of our patients.
